Ok I've got bitten by the blog bug :) I'm going to ride this wave for a bit and see how many posts I'm actually able to knock out, ha! I found Eric's file with all of Lakai's First birthday pictures, woorahh! The theme for his party was "Mustache Bash"! It was super cute! He practically dove into his cake and did a great job smashing it all over his face. It was a great party and the little man had a wonderful time. Can't believe he's a year old already, time is slipping away from me!

Forever and a Day

It's been WAY too long since I last blogged!! So sawy :) Of course LOADS of things have happened since I cut all my hair off. It's no longer 2000 degrees outside! Woo hoo! Both Reagan and Lakai had birthdays at the end of September, super cute. I'll post pictures of that (someday....maybe). Lakai is officially walking, happened at 13 months (only 2 months behind sissy, no big deal right??) He still prefers crawling since the walking isn't quite as fast yet but I'm calling it official anyway. He walked all the way from the kitchen to Reagans room last night so that just proves it, ha! We had one of Eric's photog friends take our family pics this year. A big shout out to Miss Jane Zarzynski for the amazing shots! What a chore it was for her. My kids were a little CUCKOO after being in the car for almost 2 hours (we drove to Sedona for the gorgeous scenery). Anywootin' those are the pictures that I'm posting today. I'll try to be better about posting. "Try" being the key word :)

Florida to PA and back again

My gorgeous cousin Sarah got married 2 weekends ago in Florida and Eric shot (photographed) the wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and my first time ever visiting FL. We played in the Atlantic Ocean, which yes is warmer than the Pacific and had an overall great time with family. And since we were already on the east coast we decided that a trip up to Pennsylvania to visit Erics mission would be fun! He hasn't been back since he got home in 2004. It was SO. MUCH. FUN! If it wasn't for missing our little bunnies (that's right the kiddos stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Greenhalgh) we wouldn't have wanted to come home at all. It is just so breathtakingly beautiful there. So much green, and stunning lawns, and vegetable gardens and flower beds EVERYWHERE. I swear, the house could be a total junker and practically falling to the ground but their front lawn would be perfectly manicured with a quaint flower bed. I just fell in love with the place. And it was neat meeting so many people that Eric had taught and the members of the church that he had become friends with. Thank you to everyone that opened your home to us, we love you all so much!

I love the lake. I especially love the lake during the summer. And I MOST especially love the lake when there are jet ski's to be ridden. Thanks Dad and Renee for planning this fun trip, we had a blast!

We like to escape the super summer death heat for the 4th of July and this year we went to Prescott. We stayed in a the most delightful little cabin with Eric's parents and the Bradley's. The weather was perfecto though the fireworks were a little "eh" this year. Oh well, the fact that we were able to watch them in the cool air made it all worth it. Eric brought his tripod and took some incredible pictures of the light show :) I only added a few of my very most favorite, but it was hard to choose!!

We also got the chance to check out the absolutely adorable Heritage Zoo. The weather was nice and overcast and cool so all the animals for the most part were making an appearance. It was GRANDE!

Going Pro Tiny Dancer

Eric and I had the opportunity to play in a charity golf tournament in the early part of June. I've played golf twice before but the hubs never has (besides a few times at the driving range). Let's just say we did.... INCREDIBLE! I mean for really zero experience I think we did fabulous! Luckily we were playing "best ball" so our third wheel, hehe, Jaren pretty much carried us. Though there were a lot of times that my ball ended up being best ball, not by strategy or well placed swings of course but sheer dumb luck. BUT I'll take it :) Anyway, it was for a great cause and we had a HOLE lot of fun!

On Friday Reagan had her very first dance recital. I was UUBER excited about this and couldn't wait to see what it looked like since I don't see them practice and she refuses to do it for me at home {queue poutty face}. Well we were told to put her hair in a high pony with curls and that it wouldn't be frowned upon to have her in some makeup to "accent her features"! How cute is that?? Of course, this was my favorite part, playing dress up. It couldn't be helped! As for the recital itself...well, she was totally set and in ready position on stage when the music blasted out of nowhere WAY too high and scared her. They restarted the music and turned it down but that was that, she cried while the other kids danced. Oh well, at least she looked darn cute!

June has brought a LOT of fun activities for my little missy. She has dance/tumble class on Mondays and has now started taking swim lessons. It's fun to watch her learning :) It's also nice that she's learning something useful since she has absolutely no fear of the water!

Fire Station NUMBER 9!

We had the AMAZING opportunity to tour one of Mesa's Fire Stations this afternoon. Fire Station #9 to be exact. It was SO MUCH FUN! Ok maybe, once again, I enjoyed the tour more than the kiddo's BUT who can blame me right?! Anywhootin' it was a lot of fun and I was able to get a nice little group together to accompany me. It was a blast. We got to see their "living quarters", the computer room, work out room, "sleeping quarters" and finally the fire truck itself. We got to get up close, REAL close and even get inside! Reagan was nervous to talk to, high five, or even make eye contact with the firefighters and mostly enjoyed running around the big truck chasing her buddies. At the end they got a call and had to leap into action, literally. It was fun for the kids to see them turn the lights on, all hop inside, open the garage and roar out of there. It was cute watching all those delighted little faces waving to the firefighters as they left :) Don't tell anyone but I had Eric light our house on fire just so that they would get called out, haha {JUST KIDDING, of course}!

Farm - Cows - Milk - Hay

It's been a tid bit of time since my last post. We've been a wee busy what with moving my mom to my sisters house, then moving all her stuff to my grandma's house and THEN moving all of our stuff into her house. Catch all that?? Phew! Anyway, a friend of mine from our previous ward (Galveston 1st Ward, oh how we miss you!!!), Marie had some extra tickets to Superstition Farm and I was lucky enough to score them. It was a really fun time, in fact I think I may have enjoyed it more than my little ones. I was truly fascinated by the tour they gave us and all the information that I never knew about LIKE: they produce about 600 gallons of milk a DAY, there's a special science/art to keeping the flies to a minimum (I was impressed for so much cow poop there were hardly any flies at all), they milk their cows 24 hours a day (meaning there is always a farmer awake to milk them, geez louise), a cows udder can weigh as much as 60 pounds when it's completely full of milk (ummmmm WHAT??!!), that being said the cows will automatically line up to be milked when they see the farmer coming because they want the relief, AND a cow has to be pregnant or have given birth in order to produce milk (just like humans, huh I never knew, I just thought all cows made milk, weird). Anyway, there was a lot more but I thought those to be the MOST impressive :)

Part of the tour included a sampling of their milk with a fun flavored syrup and some of their homemade ice cream. It was all very delicious and I highly recommend the farm tour. Thanks again Marie for including us on this adventure!!

I am so stoked about a recent bit of luck I had that I HAVE to share it. I follow this fun recipe blog called Mommy's Kitchen Creations {it's in my list of "Friends" as Yummy Recipes or just click the link}. It's such a fun blog and I've used a TON of her recipes and they all turn out WONDERFUL. Anyway, she had a giveaway a couple of weeks ago that I entered and low and behold I WON! FUN FUN FUN. Not only is she amazing in the kitchen but she also makes super fun bows/clips/flowers/etc. This chick {Jennie Plastow} does it all! Thanks again lady for the great dinner ideas and a HUGE thanks for the 5 {that's right, I said 5} fun new hair accessories! I am in love with each and every one of them :)

We went camping this weekend up at Workman Falls. It was a super fun time {though I will admit I was grumpy as a bear when we first got there}. Ahem, I think most women would be when it's 1:30 am, freezing outside, pitch black {did I mention that we arrived at 1:30 AM?!}, no campsite available, baby is fussing and hungry, toddler is fussy/confused/half asleep and we are hanging out in the car while daddy and Uncle Kyle try to set up camp. BUT the kids ended up doing just fine, which is a good thing...for Eric...cause if it had been a rough rest of the night we would have left the next day, ha! Anyway, despite the interesting start and icy night it was overall a fun time. My dirt ball, I mean Reagan, had a blast! This was Lakai's first campout and he did awesome! Can't wait to do it again, but maybe when it's not quite so chilly at night!! Thanks to Kyle and Serena for keeping us company :) We love you guys!!

Can I just say that I LOVE my darling husband?! He's just so sweet and considerate and I can honestly say that making me happy and seeing me smile is something that really seems to please him! So my Valentines day gift this year was a "collage" of our family pictures. He ordered 17 prints (not all pictured), each on a foam backing and then arranged them for me in our front room. The pictures don't do it justice, especially since the spot light is placed funky so it leaves a big shadow in the very top and cuts off the pictures but it looks incredible. Trust me! It's so much fun having them all up on the wall for me to goo over every day. Thanks baby! I love them ALL! Best gift EVER :)

Like usual I wasn't sure what i wanted to do for Eric for Valentines Day this year. After buying a random staple gun (he says tools are always fun to get, IDK) and then returning it I finally decided that it'd be fun to take him to a Phoenix Suns game. I bid for the tickets on Ebay...well to be precise I had my MOM bid for tickets since she already has a paypal account and knows what the hay she's doing in there. After being outbid a couple of times and starting to get really freaked out we finally won. Woo hooo, thanks mom for waiting until there was only 2 minutes left to submit my final bid :) I tell you what, whoever says that Ebay is a lot of fun I must disagree, the whole auction thing gets me really anxious and flustered. Anyway, so we got tickets to the Suns vs. Mavericks game on 2/17. It was SO MUCH FUN! We took the light rail, which I have never ridden before and had an overall great time. I thought my nose bleed seats would be a downer but it really wasn't hard to see and since it was a sold out game there was a lot of energy and it was a lot of fun! Happy Valentines Day babe, I love you! PS - I'll be posting pics of MY valentines gift later on ;)

We blessed our delightful baby boy a couple Sunday's ago. We ended up doing it at Eric's parents house instead of at church this time. Because of the move, the crazy holidays and since Eric's oldest brother, Daniel, and his wifey, Kate were actually in town from Arkansas we decided it was best to do it this way. We kept it really small, pretty much immediate family only but it was really a very special and really sweet little blessing. I am so grateful to have this little man in my life. He melts my heart with his charming little smile. He's as cute as a button and I am also thankful for all of our family that was able to make it on such short notice.

We celebrated Christmas with Eric's side of the family this year. It was definitely a BUSY time but filled with lots of fun, food, family and LOVE! I'm so grateful for my family, especially for my 2 little wonders and my wonderful husband Eric. I'm grateful for the Christmas season and for what it represents. I'm so grateful for my savior, Jesus Christ and for the incredible example that he is to me. I'm so grateful for the restored gospel and for the testimony that I have. Here's to 2011! I want it to be the best year yet!

Lots and Lots of Things (to include snow)

I have so much to blog about it's ridiculous: moving, Christmas, Lakai's Blessing, etc!! BUT I want to start with what happened today. It snowed!! Woo hoo, in Mesa. Can you even believe it? Now it wasn't much and it pretty much melted the instant it touched the ground BUT it was snowing nonetheless. I don't think it's snowed here since I was in high school. It was pretty fun. Here are some pictures just to prove that it actually happened (though you really can't see any snow in any of the shots, boo!). I'll post the rest of the last months activities soon :) Oh and PS - Today is Lakai's 3 month birthday. Happy 3 months to my little man! He's the sweetest little boy EVER and just loves being talked to, smiling, cooing and being overall wonderful!

Lakai Epic Greenhalgh

Well everyone, our little mister is finally here! I didn't think it was possible but he came all by himself : ) My water broke at 1:30 am. Although this may be TMI I think it's worth mentioning that it broke while I was on the toilet right after I had gone pee! No mess for me to clean up, PERFECT!! At this point, I decide that taking a shower, doing my hair and putting on makeup is a super idea. Let me tell you I wont be making this mistake again. We get to the hospital at about 3 and are finally admitted into a delivery room at about 330 am. 2 hours have now elapsed since my water broke and contractions have really started coming stronger and faster. I can't get an epidural until they get me on an IV and I have at least a litter of fluid pumped through my veins. Well it took 6 tries, 3 blown veins and 3 rolled veins before they were able to get the IV started. OUCH! I now look like a battered wife, these bruises are gonna take a bit to go away. Anyway, the epidural was FINALLY given and the contractions were starting to ebb away to nothing when the "urge" to push started to over. It was very uncomfortable and was only getting more and more intense with each contraction (at least I couldn't feel those contractions). After complaining about how uncomfortable it was to breath through this "urge" numerous time,s even though the nurse kept telling me it was just the babies head causing pressure and that she had just checked me 20 minutes ago, the nurse rolled her eyes and agreed to check me again. This was just 20 minutes after I'd gotten the epidural and I was a 6 at that point. She then states "Oh! You're ready to go! Let me call the doctor". WELL DUHHHHHH!! Let me tell you it is REALLY hard not to push and to "breath through it" when you get that "urge", in fact I would say it's miserable. So the doctor runs into the run, gloves up and tells me I can push at will. And push I did :) Lakai was born at 5:47 am, just 4 hours and 27 minutes after my water broke! Phew, I feel like we almost didn't make it, how silly of me to take a shower and get all ready. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure :)

I'm obsessed with taking pictures of Reagan when she's fallen asleep in the car. I think it is one of the CUTEST things in the world. I've realized that I've collected a few good ones over the last 2 years and I thought it'd be fun to put them up. They are in chronological order but I'm not exactly sure of the dates (remember these are all on my phone).

ER 101 - Our First Class

Well for anyone that wasn't abreast of the event while it was happening Reagan experienced her first emergency last night. While waiting to be seated at Native New Yorker Reagan was climbing down off the seat that she was sitting on and Eric had a hold of her hand so that she wouldn't fall/get away. She started to make a run for it so Eric lifted her back up onto the chair by her hand. That's when the arm went limp and the crying started. Unfortunately it wasn't just her disappointment of being caught that kept the tears coming. She couldn't move her arm without screaming. This is the first time we've ever been faced with this sort of thing so we didn't know what to do at first. We were in Tempe, at a restaurant, and there didn't appear to be any swelling, bruising or discoloration at all. Based on the screaming that persisted at the slightest touch or movement we decided to take her to Cardon's Children's ER at Banner Desert. It was a BUSY BUSY BUSY night! Of course, we expected it though. There were a LOT of children in front of us. Some that seemed more serious others that seemed like they should just go back home and take some childrens tylenol. Luckily, the nurses took pity on our poor little monster and got her some pain medication pretty quickly : ) Thank goodness for having a sister in law that new one of the nurses working that night (you ROCK Natalie)!!

Just after checking in. Waiting now to be seen by a nurse for our "diagnosis".

She'd been diagnosed and given some pain meds and was starting to fade pretty quickly. I can't imagine this position being comfortable but it was the only one that she wanted to be in. She'd whimper and cry if we tried to adjust her : (

We finally got her adjusted so that there was less pressure on her right arm. Still waiting to be seen by a Dr though.

The PA diagnosed Reagan as having a partial dislocation in her right elbow. She had to adjust it back into place which was NO FUN and yes there were tears involved!! BUT as soon as she was done she got a popsicle and it was like nothing had ever been wrong. She was able to use the "wounded" arm again and was chatting up a storm!

Here she's just lounging while we wait to be discharged. She's already using her right arm again to play with Daddy's phone :) Back to normal!

Right before they discharged us they took her vitals again. This involved putting something on her finger that made it glow. She liked this a lot and thought it was very neat that her finger was glowing, ha!

So all in all, it turned out to be ok. For our first emergency visit I'm glad that it was only a partial dislocation. There were some other children in there that had it WAY worse. Like the little boy that had pneumonia and was going to have to have a chest tube :( Or the kid who couldn't stop crying while he was doubled over himself in his chair. Eeeck! Special thanks to everyone for all of your caring thoughts and prayers. Reagan is like new today and acting like her arm never hurt. Gotta love 22 month olds :)

California and Camping Wedding

Keeping up with all our summer adventures! We got to go visit my grandparents for a week. We had a blast, it was a new adventure every day. We went to parks, The Sacramento Zoo, the pool and had a lot of fun just running around "gwama and papa's" house. We spent 2 days at home before heading back out for Brittany and Ricky's (Ricky is one of Eric's 2nd cousins) wedding up in Nutrioso, AZ. The wedding was in the woods so we camped out :) It was a ton of fun. And Brittany looked fabulous, of course!! So much fun so far this summer, so much more to be had!!

I've decided that the only way that this Arizona summer is going to be bearable is to be in the water....CONSTANTLY! We went up to Lake Roosevelt for some July 3rd fun. I don't have any pictures of the jet ski but Eric's parents have one now and it's a blast!

We woke Reagan up early and she didn't get a nap ALL day. This is 5 minutes after putting her in dry clothes and clean diaper and putting her binky in her mouth. Out like a light! She had so much fun, my little water baby!

Summer Vacations 2010

Summer 2010 has been pretty fun so far! A trip to Mexico and a camping trip with some friends. We have more planned for July but I thought I'd get these photos out from what we've done so far. Reagan LOVES to scroll through the pictures we have on our phones and was doing so this morning while sitting on my lap as I was perusing Facebook. I noticed at one point that she had gotten into the actual camera setting instead of the pictures and had snapped a picture.... of nothing! So I start looking at my recent photos and it's a bunch of nonsense that she's taken recently. It made me laugh so hard because we didnt know she had been doing it! I've been really lucky and haven't had to deal with a sick baby hardly at all. Reagan just doesn't seem to ever get more than a runny nose or cough....until today : ( She was really fussy ALL DAY LONG and we figured it was just teething. So we gave her some Motrin and put her down for a long winters nap (3 hours 15 minutes, pretty good). She woke up from her nap ON FIRE. We read some books, blew some bubbles outside, watered the flowers and she was acting relatively normal. She even wanted her regular evening snack of raw veggies and ranch dressing. I figured "hey, if she has an appetite, SWEET, bring on the snacks"! WRONG, those cucumbers, carrots and ranch were exactly what she ended up vomiting right back out about 30 minutes later. Poor thing! She was sitting on the couch watching Elmo in Grouch Land while I made dinner but then staring fussing again. I sit next to her on the couch and she is lying on her stomach across one of the pillows (not normal for my rambunctious toddler). So I put her on my lap and ask if her tummy's bothering her. That's when she gags and it all comes up. I know what you're thinking, I then threw up on top of her!! Not this time, luckily. I just felt so bad for her cause she was wimpering that I just whisked her into the bathroom and let her finish throwing up over the tub. She was crying while I rinsed her off, it was sooooo sad. I then gave her a quick bubble bath, that turned into a very quick "get the puke out of her hair" rinse off cause she wanted nothing to do with bathing. I put her in jammies and back to the couch we went so that I could clean up her mess. WELL.....(and this is where it gets gross) Posh had already done the job for me. That's right, our puppy ate up Reagan's throw up like it was a gourmet dinner! Oh man, I couldn't even look at her it made me so sick. I put her right outside and wiped down the rest. UGH! After that we hung out on the couch and she just cuddled with me. Again, another sure sign that she isn't feeling well. She ended up falling asleep on my lap at about 6:40. We'll see how long she stays asleep. I hope she feels better tomorrow. It breaks my heart!!

Alright, the Verdict Is In.....

Looks like majority wins! We're having a lil' mister. As many of you know, Eric and I were both under the impression that we were only capable of making little girls and were therefore figuring that we'd be getting little missy #2. We already had her name picked out and everything. When the ultra sound tech said "ok, looks like it's a......." I was thinking "a girl, ya ya ya". So when she finished with "....BOY!" I swear I almost fell off the table. I actually asked her "seriously???" at which point she pointed to a certain part of the screen and said "yep, boy". She made sure to print off LOTS of the pictures and was nice enough to include the little pointer indicating "boy". This is great! We get one of each! I'm still trying to get use to the fact that Reagan is having a little brother. I almost feel like I don't know how to deal with a boy, haha! How do you play with a boy? So anyway, we are back at square one trying to think of names for this little man. So far he's going by lil' mister. Eric's nixed every name I've come up with so far and he hasn't thought of any yet so.....we're off to a great start : ) If you think of anything cute let me know, just none of this Huckleberry, Truman or Lionel nonsense (I do apologize if that happens to be your name, awkward moment I suppose).

Guessing Games

Have you seen those commercials for GE where they discover super scary diseases and cancers and tumors in life saving time because of their amazing products and advanced technology? Their slogan is "GE. Imagination at work". I am fascinated by technology and today especially fascinated with GE's technology. Specifically the Voluson 730. This is the ultra sound machine that they use at my OB's office and it is INCREDIBLE. The amount of minute details that they are able to see because of this machine is out of control. They were able to determine that our newest bundle (by the way I'm pregnant, I didn't actually post a blog about it but NOW YOU KNOW if you didn't before ; ) ) is forming nose cartilage, that I ovulated from my right ovary, that the baby's heart is beginning to form chambers and that stomach is developing "quite nicely". They were also able to tell something else while they were peeking around in there. That's right folks, they were able to determine the sex!! Apparently, once the child is at least 12 weeks old (mine is 12weeks 4 days today) they can determine the sex as long as the baby is cooperating. I was told during my last pregnancy that when they are looking at the baby to determine if it's a boy or girl they look for either a hot dog {boy} or a hamburger (bun, patty, bun, haha) {girl}. So before I spill the beans I want to play a little game. Guess what Lexi is having this time. Cast you vote in the comments section.

Well, there is a lot going on in our little family as of late. For those out there in blogger land that don't know I am leaving my current employer USAA in order to stay at home with Reagan. It is a bittersweet feeling I have (tearing up as I write this, big shock right?!). I cannot wait to be with Reagan during the day but over the last 3.7 years I have grown to love my co-workers. What am I going to do without weekly stand-ups in the "Bistro" or indulgent department potlucks?! I can't believe it's finally time for me to stay home but it's with tearful eyes and a heavy heart that I say good-bye to my Underwriting family!

Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE the Phoenix Zoo. My Grandparents bought me a membership for Christmas and I've enjoyed being able to go whenever I want. Reagan loves seeing all the animals and running around like a baboon!

These goats were pretty scary for Reagan at first but she quickly got the hang of it. In fact, one of the zoo workers said "she's a natural!" I was so proud ; )

She likes to be a big girl and push the stroller herself.

So her big thing lately is taking her princess chair and pulling it onto the couch with her and then sitting in it while its on the couch. It's always perched in a precarious position but I had to capture her joy and how cute and proud she looks.

Hello blog followers (or should I just say hello to my family since I think they're the only ones that read this)??? No more pictures of Posh for now. She's doing good and I have yet to send her to the pound, so far so good if you ask me! Before I even start blogging I have to give a shout out to my hubby for being wonderful without being asked to be so. He mowed the lawn, cleaned the dishes AND scrubbed the toilets for me on Wednesday! What more can a girl ask for??

Ok onto the post. So Devin came home from Brazil last Friday. We are all so happy that he's home again. Reagan already adores her new Uncle Devin and loves to climb all over him and give him kisses.

Yes Candice, if you're reading this, I wear the clips you made for Reagan. No shame : )

This is what we call Reagan's "evil eye" look. The pictures really don't do it justice. It's hilarious, she'll be smiling and will drop her chin out of nowhere and give you "the look". We crack up now whenever she does it so she's just encouraged to do it more. Ha!

I know it makes her look a little scary in these shots but really its quite cute.

I don't know why but until last night I have never given Reagan an actual bubble bath. Shame on me! She loves bubbles and bath's and it's the PERFECT combination. Needless to say she consumed mass quantities of suds, oh well. At least I can say she has a clean mouth now!

La Princessa

The new Princess in all her glory. Already upon her throne! So far it's been 5 days and things have started to go a lot smoother. We've abandoned the "crate training" at this point. Please don't bother commenting if you're just going to scold, haha! Eric read that excessive whining and crying may indicate that she's too young for crate training and terrified of being alone. Sooooo until she gets a little older and more use to being by herself we are just sleeping her in our room on the floor next to Eric. So far this has been a very peaceful compromise, she sleeps through the night and gets up when I do. Our only sticking point right now is trying to get her to stop peeing on the floor out of excitement when she see's us. Luckily though she is not a hyper puppy and would prefer to be held or to sit on your toes while you stroke her head. She's very loving and has a very sweet puppy face. Suk Suk has yet to become friends with her but she isn't hissing or swiping at her either which is promising.

The long awaited day has finally arrived. I've approved the adoption of a puppy and we brought her home last night. She is a very sweet and mellow baby and I'm looking forward to a very loving, wonderful family dog. That being said...Eric had to sleep in front of her crate all night to keep her from howling and whinning all night long. She was up before 5 am to eat and wanted to play as soon as she saw me as I was leaving for work. I hear this phase only lasts a week. We will see. Until then.....

I know that all moms probably feel this way about their children but I just can't get enough of my little Reagan Allure. She's growing up so fast. This is such a fun stage. She is really good with the sign language that we've taught her and she's learning her animal noises well also. Her lion impression is AWESOME! And she spins around when we sign ring around the rosy to her. I have to admit that I'm in love with this little girl. She's my sweet bab...TODDLER!!

I caved and let her have a happy meal. She likes to hold her own cheeseburger, thank you very much!

A Dyson Christmas!!!!

Yes everyone, that is right. I now have my very own DYSON! Ahhhhhhh : ) Let's just say that my darling husband took my little "plea" from an earlier post as a hint. Thank you so much to Mom, Jimmy, Dad, Renee, Ciera, Devin, Lisa, Scott, Grandma, Grandpa, Gma Butler/Nana and Gpa Butler/Tata for chipping in and making this gift so special! And not to forget my wonderful husband, Eric for doing all the organizing. Good job keeping it a secret babe! I wondered why you kept asking silly things like "If you could have Dyson, ANY Dyson you wanted, what would you pick??" You're so cute! The vacuum is amazing, and OF COURSE I've already used it. Would you expect anything less? And because this is a blog I HAVE to tell the story of how Eric gave it to me. So I get home from work Wednesday evening and am getting dinner ready and notice that Reagan needs a diaper change, BADLY. So I ask Eric to change her for me and he heads back to her room and calls for her to follow. She starts to go but sees our old vacuum in the hall and is frozen with fear (she's petrified of the vacuum). So Eric asks if I'd put the vacuum away because "the baby" (in more ways that one obviously) is scared and wont move while its out. So as I open the closet to put the old vacuum away there in it's place was a beautiful, new, shining Dyson! It was such a fun surprise. And what's better is that I get it early. Wooo woo! Thanks again everyone, I love you all so much!!

And yes, I did post this before any Halloween pictures of my daughter. Don't judge me!!

Fun at the Patch!

PUMPKIN patch that is! As a child, my family always went to the pumpkin patch each fall (and sometimes during the summer as well) to pick pumpkins, take hay rides, pet farm animals, sip cider and explore corn mazes. I want to make sure that my children have the same great traditions, so we started this year (Reagan would have been 3 weeks old this time last year and just wouldn't have appreciated it as much). It was warm (go figure) but we had a ton of fun. Uncle Kyle and Aunt Serena went with us and Kyle picked out a 29 lb pumpkin! Ummm....

Ode to a Vacuum or Love Sucks

So I couldn't decide which title I liked best : ) I will begin by thanking Mrs. Lars King. My carpet has never looked prettier or felt fluffier. To my family, all I want for Christmas this year, even if everyone pools their money and I get nothing else and I don't get anything for my birthday next year or a Christmas present next year either...ALL that I want is a Dyson vacuum. How I love you Dyson vacuum. I cannot begin to express the the love that I have for this machine and for the owner who allowed me to borrow of it. I was beyond frustrated with our pathetic little Target vacuum and thought I would borrow a real woman's vacuum from a friend. It was amazing! I will not be able to vacuum my carpet again until I have one. This bad boy can CLEAN. Oh and to top it all off, the wimpiest of babies, Miss Reagan Allure herself didn't cry while I was vacuuming. She just followed us around and was not bothered at all by it's gentle whirring!!! (Deep breath)

POOP Soup!!

Ok, I have to blog about this. Let me start by saying this is a first for our family. Yesterday night Eric was giving Reagan her bath. I usually sit in the bathroom with them but I had gone in the other room to brush my teeth. I hear Eric laughing and he says "it's so funny, she's gassy and is making lots of bubbles!" So I walk back into the bathroom just in time to see Reagan's face get all red and for Eric to say "Uh-oh, she's pooping!" And sure enough, that's exactly what she was doing. So...ok...there's definitely no stopping this once it has started and I thought to myself "ok well better out than in". So at this point Eric has moved the baby to the other side of the tub. Why we didn't take her OUT of the tub is still beyond me! Well I thought that scooping this little poopy out was going to be no big deal. Um WRONG! I initially try to scoop it out with a baby wipe and it proceeds to crumble to pieces. GREAT! Now it's in little bits all over the place and Reagan starts kicking and swirling it about. Yep, she's STILL IN THE TUB! So I have Eric take her out but she has crap (haha) on her but he wraps her in her towel anyway. I guess I don't really know what I wanted him to do, maybe hold her in the air above the tub??? Ok, so I try to get the poop out again but this time I tackle it with paper towels. Let me just say that trying to chase poop around a bathtub with a paper towel is a BAD idea. The force of the water being pushed in front of the paper towel just pushed the poop away, further stirring the feces and ultimately resulting in Poop Soup. At this point I am so freaked out and disgusted that I am gagging like a pregnant girl brushing her teeth. I finally resort to just draining the tub and letting all the poop go down the drain. What else is there to do??? I still don't know how else I should have handled it. So I have to frantically rinse out the tub and then Lysol wipe it down so that I can stick the baby back in it and rinse the feces off of her since she was practically swimming in it. My little poop baby. She was none too happy about having to be rinsed off again and then re-dried. Not to mention that I have to sanitize all the toys that she had in there with her. Ugh! I've often wondered if this was ever going to happen and now it has. We've been inducted into the poop tub club. I can't say that I'm happy about it but it does make for a pretty funny story. Just thought I'd share.......

Utah/YellowStone and other various adventures

Well for anyone that didn't know we went on a big Greenhalgh family reunion to Utah and Yellowstone just a couple of weeks ago. I am finally getting around to uploading the photos and blogging all about it : ) The trip was amazing. I stressed the whole time about how Reagan was going to do but she did super of course. Just goes with the flow, for the most part. She certainly HATES her carseat at this point. The baby can now say that she has been in 5 states. Besides her home town she's been to Utah, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. We started in Utah, then went to Yellowstone (Wyoming and Montana) and then ended the trip in Idaho before coming back home. We saw so much wildlife!!! I honestly didn't think I would end up seeing a bear but we did. 4 of them! And countless bison, elk, and birds. I saw a fox and there were even big horn sheep up on a cliff face. The trip was, overall, wonderful and everyone had a great time. Why were we in Idaho you ask? We went to visit baby Kadence, who is definitely no longer a baby and who even made the same comment when we met her. She looks EXACTLY like Natalie and has such a spunky little personality. She really took to Eric and insisted on dotting on him. Her family is amazing and it was a great visit! The flight home was easy peasy, though I spent countless hours fretting about it, too. Her ears didn't seem to bother her and she ended up just falling asleep on daddy. What a trooper. She was exhausted by it all though. The day after we got back she took a 3 hour and then a 2 hour nap. She was done! I have to say it's good to be home, though I didn't miss this nasty heat!!

Reagan and Rylee are so cute together, especially in these adorable summer dresses that Grandma made. They also have a blast in the water together. Rylee is still working on "sharing" but luckily Reagan is easily distracted with other toys quickly. Overall the day was great. It was busy and I can't say that I felt restful at all but it was full of lovely women and sweet babies. Who could ask for more?!

Break Through

Reagan has officially gotten her first teeth. That's right, TEETH. Plural! Her two bottom teeth broke through at the same time yesterday morning. Daddy was the first to discover them when she was chewing on him (not unusual) and it actually hurt a little (unusual). I can't get a good picture though because they only just came through the gum and she keeps pushing her tongue over them whenever i try to pry her mouth open! Nonetheless it's all very exciting and I now realize that she will be married before I know it. I can't believe she'll be 7 months old next week. She hasn't shown any signs of crawling yet but who knows, she seems to pick things up in a matter of days!!

I came home yesterday and found these waiting for me. There is nothing better than "Just Because" flowers. Especially on a Tuesday evening. I love you Eric. I think you're "super delicious"!

AND...my little bundle can sit up on her own now. She's still pretty nervous about it so I have to sit her up between my legs and then sneak away without her realizing that I'm not behind her anymore : ) I called her name and took this pic right before she realized I was no longer supporting her and she proceeded to fall backward immediately. She's getting there, though. Give it a few more weeks!

I'm 25 and I like Prescott

So for my birthday this year I wanted to take a family trip up to Prescott. It's been years since I was up there last. It was wonderful. The weather was 68 in the middle of the day. There was a wonderful breeze that blew the whole time. Such a cute little town. There are TONS of places that would be great for family photos. Eric can't wait to take someone up there for a shoot. It was a perfect day and I couldn't have asked for more for my birthday. Oh and I got Twilight! He he, the perfect gift for a perfect day.

Yes, it's true. The hottest new art form for the home are carpet murals. Master muralist Brian Turley createdthis masterpiece last night during game night. Please everyone, no need to be jealous. Brian can be contracted out. He specializes in portraits but can do just about anything. This particular work is of the Halbert's.

For anyone that doesn't know, my husband is a fabulous photographer! I'm not even biased. It's true. I have said it a million times and will continue to say it: I wish that he could have taken our wedding pictures!!! If I say it enough times it might come true? Happy New Year! WOW, 2008 is officially over. Where did it go? If you're like me then the whole year just flew by. The last time I checked I had just found out I was pregnant and Eric and I were planning baby names. Now Lil' Missy is here and we are so excited to be welcoming 2009. Eric and I made last minute plans to go to his brother's NEW YEAR BASH. We put Reagan to bed at Grandma's (my mom this time) and headed out. It's funny but when we got in the car after putting the baby to bed Eric cranked the music to "get the party started" (his words) and I immediately wanted to tell him to turn it down for fear that it would wake the baby. She wasn't even with us! I felt that way at the party, too. I kept having to suppress the urge to shush people, HA! The baby was safe and sound at Grandma's sleeping peacefully. Hard to shake the mommy tendencies I guess. Anyway, here's to 2009 and all the new adventures that it's going to bring!

She can do it!! Hurray hurray. She is officially rolling from her tummy to her back. It is too cute to watch. She does it consistently enough that I can say she is rolling over but it is still a semi-accident and is hilarious to watch the expression on her face as she goes over. Santa Clause

Oh yes...we went and saw Santa. I couldn't wait. I know that Reagan will never remember this but this is exactly why I had kids. So that I could go to the mall, spend way too much money for a poor quality picture where my daughter isn't even looking at the camera. It's everything I've been waiting for : ) It really was a good time, though. Minus the hour wait, luckily baby napped for most of it. She did really good and didn't cry or fuss at all. Next year will be different I'm sure.

Flagstaff Photo Shoot

The Llewellyn's and us all took a lovely trip up to Flagstaff last weekend. My photographer husband was commissioned to take Matt and Holly's Christmas pictures. Since Matt works at Enterprise Rental he got a minivan and we made it a day trip up to Flag to get some great family pictures. It was a fun day and we got a TON of really good pictures. If you're reading this Holly I've seen your pictures and they look so good. Though I'm no photographer myself I am including some of the pics that I took.

Well we have finally arrived. I broke down and started our own blog. I'll admit that this is a brand new experience for me and it was really rather confusing so I threw a bit of a tantrum and had to have Eric figure it all out for me! I am much calmer now and am trying it again. For anyone that viewed the original blog you'll notice that the first one has been deleted. I am now trying again : )
